Book concept based on 'rubbings' from streets around Bloomsbury, London WC1.

Work created by year 9 pupils from Oakwood School, Surrey, during one of my 'Collaborative Collage' events held on World Book Day.
I'm a freelance graphic designer with most of my work based around design for the publishing industry.
For over twenty five years now, I have worked for some of the largest London publishing houses, including Penguin Random House and Bloomsbury.
My focus has continually been upon the creation of catchy, commercially viable, contemporary design solutions intended for the most traditional of printed, published forms: ‘The Book.’
I have always loved a good story and creating a cover to be wrapped around a cracking yarn has kept me busy for quite a few years now, working with a plethora of renowned authors, editors and illustrators along the way.
I'm also involved with educational aspects of art and design. Whether attending talks, delivering them myself, or curating events, I have hosted workshops for secondary school pupils, graduate students and Art Trail participants.
Please do contact me if you would like to discuss any potential projects.

Spreads from my many 'ideas and concepts' sketch-books. I am still a firm believer in getting initial ideas down onto paper first, it's where it all begins.
Also to collect printed ephemera and reference, these become essential resource material.
